T.Scanner Adds New Capability St Luke’s officials and guests recently dedicated the hospital’s new permanent CT Scanner. Last month, construction of the 600 square foot addition was completed and the new equipment became operational shortly thereafter. “The addition of this new technology at St. Luke’s Hospital will have a tremendous impact on our ability to care for patients in this community," said Dr. Rick Gentry, radiologist. The availability of CT scanning at St Luke's will enable physicians to assess, diagnose, and determine the best course of treatment for patients with strokes, acute head trauma and other injuries and illnesses. "In the past," exclained Gentry, "many of these patients have been transferred to another Continued On Back Page Tryon Proposes Lake Lanier Zoning Tryon officials have proposed a zoning ordinance for Lake Lanier which would restrict the size of lakefront buildings. The proposed ordinance is now- in the hands of Greenville County officials, and Tryon Town Manager Barry G. Richards said he expects it will take them 15 to 20 days to review it. Until an agreement is reached between the two jurisdictions, a moratorium is in effect on all lakefront building, unless a valid building permit was issued before the moratorium began March 13. The Town of Tryon owns the Lake Lanier lake bed. although • is located in Greenville County, S.C.
